Our 70-687: Configuring Windows 8.1 is intended for experienced IT professionals with experience administering Windows PCs and devices in a domain environment with managed access to the Internet. This course will teach you how to administer Windows 8.1 in a Windows Server domain environment, while providing managed, and secure, access to users on non-domain Windows devices.

It also covers installation and customization of the Windows 8.1 operating systems and apps, as well as how to control and integrate access to domains and cloud services. You will also learn how to customize configurations using Windows management tools (Group Policy and Windows PowerShell), and to implement mobile security.

The course also discusses configuring user profiles, settings, and both local and remote network connectivity. Additionally, it covers virtual apps, Client Hyper-V, and Internet Explorer 11. Also, you will learn how to optimize security and provide controlled access from Windows 8.1 PCs and devices to specified resources through Workplace Join services and Work Folders.

This course will prepare you for Exam 687, Configuring Windows 8.1 and is a step towards seeking your MCSA: Windows 8 certification.
